“In a world of mass production, I create one-of-a-kind and limited edition jewelry that incorporates my love of nature and ethnic art—handcrafted wearable art of sterling and fine silver combined with gemstones from around the world.” ~Marcia Glenn
A native of Texas, Marcia Glenn moved to Germany to study in 1972, and she lived and worked there for almost twenty years before moving to Albuquerque in 1994.
While living in Europe, Marcia traveled extensively in Europe, Africa, and Asia, where she had the opportunity to visit some of the world’s leading art museums and also develop a love of primitive ethnic art and jewelry.
While she enjoys making all types of jewelry, Marcia specializes in creating earrings, unique clasps, and handcrafted fine silver beads, which she combines with semiprecious beads (many of which are from Brazil or produced in cottage industries in Afghanistan).
Marcia has exhibited her work at numerous juried shows in New Mexico and was featured in the Winter 2010 issue of Metal Clay Artist Magazine, and the Northern New Mexico Art Catalogue. Marcia is a member of the Corrales Society of Artists.
